Animals leave for the Ark
10 March 2008
Specialist contractors, Constantine, were brought in this month to take the hippo, the rhino, the elk, tiger and polar bear to the safety of the Ark during RAMM's redevelopment. Too large to move away to RAMM's new collection's store (the Ark), Gerald the Giraffe and the African elephant will remain in the Natural History gallery during refurbishment. Once their new location in the Museum is ready to receive them, they will be craned into position.
