Anna-Mae (11) from near Honiton won RAMM’s Devon County Show caption competition. Her entry read
“Give it a rest Gerald or you’ll break something. That’s the 5th bungee jump you’ve done today!”
Over 7,000 people savoured a taste of Exeter’s favourite museum during the three day show. There were bugs to make and others to identify. The Romans came, they saw the modern Britons and conquered their hearts. There were Tudors and World War Two Air-raid Wardens. And of course there was information about RAMM’s summer activities throughout the county, about Devon museums and staff to answer all the questions about RAMM’s development project.
Competition for the £25 Waterstone’s gift voucher was tight. Other notable entries read
“Fred, if you get him to balance, I’ll buy you a pint.”
William (60) from Cullompton
“Ohhh…. All my sawdust has rushed to my head.”
Toby (8) from Colaton Raleigh
“Builder’s saying ‘Yes, there’s room to swing a giraffe in here’.”
Gabriella (15) from Stockland
“Cor blimey…. A new species, 4 heads, 1 leg!”
Lauren (12) from Sidmouth
With thanks to Waterstone’s Exeter for donating the prize.
