Lectures

The lively lectures programme has had successful evenings with Andrew Cooper, a BBC naturalist who is based in Devon, Jenny Thomas, senior genealogical researcher for BBC's Who do you Think you Are? Programme and Iain Stewart, a geologist at Plymouth University, well-known for his enthusiastic television programmes on the subject.

Lectures and special events are advertised on the What's on pages and free subscription to RAMMmail, the Museum's electronic information service, gives regular reminders of all events and activities. Visit www.exeter.gov.uk/RAMMmail to subscribe.

About the Trust

The trustees, supported by patrons and a fundraising committee, raise money towards the refurbishment and improvement of the Museum.

Founded in 1994, it played an essential role in raising £143,000 towards the redevelopment of the World Cultures Galleries, which reopened in June 1999.

The Trust is now raising money for the major 2007-2011 redevelopment and refurbishment programme with a lively programme of lectures and special events and with grant applications. Over £153,000 has now been raised towards its current target of £200,000.
