The First Floor Galleries
First floor
The new, additional entrance at the rear will allow visitors to enter at first-floor level straight through to the temporary exhibition galleries. Also at this level will be the introductory gallery showcasing some museum favourites like Gerald the giraffe and the African elephant. An adjacent gallery explores the lives and legacies of the scientists, travellers and donors of RAMM's extraordinary collections, while the birds and insects galleries reveal the secrets of these fabulous creatures through lots of hands-on exhibits.
