A history of Exeter in 7 pictures

Many of the objects displayed in the Making History gallery wouldn’t last long in the light pouring through the wonderful windows along Upper Paul Street and Queen Street. Scrims (cloth blinds) were needed to reduce the high light levels.

These blinds also needed to look attractive, add to the gallery atmosphere and complement the displays. Almost four meters tall, care needed to be taken to ensure that the scrims didn’t dominate the gallery and distract from the displays.
