Comfort for collections and visitors alike.
Effective environmental control will allow us to improve our displays and include a wider range of objects while increasing visitor comfort.
We also want to improve our welcome by making it easier for visitors to get into and around the building and by increasing visitor comfort. We will provide a better café, shop and toilet facilities, as well as a learning suite for use by school parties and the many other groups that visit us each year. Creating an environment that is friendly, changing and provides a variety of experiences, at times exciting and stimulating, at others contemplative and restful, is all part of our plan.
