Penny Hammond - Community Participation Officer

Changing career in her mid 30s, Penny achieved a first class Honours Degree in Heritage & Landscape Studies. For the last 13 years she has worked for the Royal Albert Memorial Museum, Exeter, championing its outreach service and community development initiatives and facilitating partnerships in order to deliver a diverse range of projects in response to real, identified needs.

As a mother, and stepmother, to a total of seven young people she has firsthand experience of some of the pressures and concerns our young people currently face. She believes it’s only by joining together today that we can do the best for young people in the future. As both Audience Participation and Events Officer at RAMM and a Trustee for Voluntary Youth Services (VYS) she hopes her broad experience will support the aims of the service in improving the lives of children and young people in Devon.
