Jenny Durrant
Jenny Durrant - Assistant Curator
I support all the museum’s collections but spend most of my time with the Antiquities collection as this is my specialist area. I help make the collections accessible to our visitors and researchers – through exhibitions, collections research, digital media and outreach events, as well as the more mundane documentation and paperwork. With over half a million objects in the Antiquities collection this is no small task!
How I ended up at RAMM
I came to Exeter to study archaeology at university and never left. I’ve worked in local archaeology ever since, with three different roles at RAMM and a spell in commercial archaeology before I was fortunate to rejoin RAMM in this role several years ago.
Best part of my job
The privilege of working with RAMM’s wonderful collections on a daily basis – it’s something I can never take for granted.
A funny thing happened...
Heard the story about the stuffed crocodile? No? Well, I'd better not say.
What I like most about RAMM
Our visitors - seeing people enjoying the museum and its collections.
If you see me in the museum, ask me....
Carrot cake or chocolate brownie?
