Amal Khreisheh, Documentation Assistant

I am currently documenting RAMM's archaeological archives. These are collections of objects found on archaeological digs in Exeter and Devon. They include animal bone, charcoal, coal, eggshell, glass, iron, pottery and slag.

How I ended up at RAMM

I did work experience at RAMM when I was 16 and then worked casually on children's activities and Playdays in the Parks. After studying Classics at university I applied for a traineeship here and when that came to an end I applied for my current job.

Best part of my job

My favourite part of my job is working in the stores looking through boxes of objects. I particularly like the archaeological collections. It's exciting to see objects that were used by people hundreds or even thousands of years ago.

What I'm looking forward to seeing/doing in the refurbished museum

I am looking forward to seeing the new displays, especially the archaeology galleries.
