Anne Starkey – Exhibitions Officer
My role here at RAMM involves co-ordinating the exhibitions programme to include: the shows in Galleries 21 and 22; the Café display; the Collectors Case exhibit; the Viewpoint Windows display; loans to the permanent collection and ‘Gallery Interventions’ by contemporary artists; as well as digital exhibitions on Showcase. The scope of the exhibitions programme is varied and ambitious, and reflects the quality and diversity of the wonderful permanent collections on display at RAMM.

I completed a BA (Hons) in English and Art at Anglia Ruskin University in 1994 and, after a couple of years travelling and working abroad, my first job in London was at the National Gallery as Exhibitions Assistant. I then spent a couple of years working as an assistant in the Curatorial Department, before taking up the role of Exhibitions Organiser at the Royal Academy of Art in 2001. Prior to living abroad again (this time for nine years from 2008), I also worked at the V&A Museum – firstly as Touring Exhibitions Organiser and then working on the V&A exhibitions programme. I moved back to the UK and settled in Devon in 2017 and worked at Exeter University, before being offered the position of Exhibitions Officer here at RAMM, in September 2019.
