Something fishy
The fish in RAMM's collections have been preserved in a variety of ways. Some have been freeze-dried and others have been made into taxidermy. Sometimes only the bony or cartilaginous skeletons of fish are kept. This is especially common in the case of elasmobranch (sharks, skate and ray) jaws with their many rows of impressive teeth. Fish are often preserved in alcohol.
