Global Gardeners at Westonbirt Arboretum

Veitch & Sons: Exeter’s plant hunting adventures. This fascinating display charts the adventures of the intrepid Veitch nursery plant hunters, who travelled all over the world in the 19th and 20th centuries collecting new species of plants.

During their travels, the plant hunters brought back objects as souvenirs. The Veitch family donated many of these items to RAMM in the 1880s and they are now part of the Museum’s collection. The display highlights links to the plantings at the arboretum.

Open daily 9am to dusk.  There may be some restriction on access to the exhibition during term times before 3pm
