RAMM wants the city’s collections to be enjoyed by all and partnerships that draw new audiences to the museum or give greater meaning or enjoyment to visitors are actively pursued. Think Big events are organised to introduce RAMM – its collections and its services – to potential partners, encouraging them to see RAMM as a toolbox to support their work. Many organisations are amazed by the diversity of the collections and the range of expertise at the museum, and many innovative projects have been developed.
Developing contacts with the youth sector
A Think Big event was held in November 2011 for colleagues in the youth sector and exciting new partnerships were formed that have led to projects with young people in care, young carers and young people known to the Devon and Cornwall Police Youth Offending Team (YOT) and Youth Inclusion and Support Panel (YISP).
Developing further contacts
Think Big, with a new sector, is planned for 2013.
