Apply now for Local Art Show at RAMM: deadline 21 September.
Local art groups and societies can win the chance to exhibit a selection of their work in RAMM thanks to a new competition launched by the Express and Echo.
Greg Sheldon, lead councillor for environment and leisure, said “There is a wealth of artistic talent in the Exeter area and this exhibition will enable one of the many groups to present their work to the people of Exeter and Devon. Exeter City Council is pleased to be working with the Express and Echo to give local groups this wonderful opportunity. I wish all the entrants the best of luck.”
The competition is open to all groups and societies whose membership is largely drawn from the Exeter area and the winner will display a selection of their member’s wall-hung work (e.g. paintings, drawings and prints) in one of RAMM’s newly refurbished exhibition galleries. Their work will be displayed from 22 November to 5 December 2012.
Societies wishing to enter must complete the entry form and supply 5 images on a CD/DVD together with a brief description of why they think their society should win the opportunity to exhibit its works in RAMM. Shortlisted entrants will be featured in the Express and Echo and readers will be invited to vote for their favourite.
Entries must be sent to

Only entries by eligible art groups and societies received by 5.30pm on Friday 21 September 2012 will be considered.
Shortlisted entries will be announced in the Express and Echo on 27 September. The winner will be announced on 29 October.
