RAMM’s partnership with RSPB started in 2005 with a joint project to bring live footage of peregrine falcons nesting on nearby St Michael’s Church into the museum’s natural history gallery.
Tony Whitehead, the Press Officer in RSPB’s Devon office, continues “Since then we have worked together on various events to make the most of the museum’s collection and promote the rich wildlife on the city’s doorstep. Highlights have included jointly organised wildlife cruises on the Exe Estuary and talks about the natural history of birds, drawing on the museum’s unique collection of species from around the world. We were also delighted to provide text, images and sound for digital interactives in the In Fine Feather gallery, and to have one of our team interpret the specimens with visitors at special events.”
