Martin Thomas – Creative Programmer
Supporting the Arts Council Major Partner Museum programme at RAMM, including contemporary artists working with collections.
Martin has worked across the culture sector for over 20 years, with clients including Dartington Hall Trust, Plymouth City Council and as RAMM’s creative programmer as part of the Arts Council Major Partner Museum programme. Previously he was at Arts Council England as head of learning for the south west, South West Museums Libraries & Archives Council as head of development, and Plymouth City Museum & Art Gallery as exhibitions officer. He is a mentor for the Heritage Lottery Fund; and a member of the International Council Of Museums and the Committee for Education & Cultural Action. In 2014 Martin was appointed as a Trustee of Glastonbury Abbey; and during 2009-15 served on the National Trust South West Advisory Board. He was appointed Exeter Cultural Partnership’s first culture director in 2015.
