Each year RAMM offers a range of work experience opportunities to 15-17 year olds and 18 plus.
The museum also takes on university students and conservation students from training programmes giving them a valuable at the Museum. Work Placements are offered to university students over 18 years of age as a required part of an academic course or college students who have a genuine interest in pursuing a museums related course at university . Work experience for 18 plus
RAMM is able each year to offer a limited number of work experience opportunities for those of 18+ years. Work experience is defined as engagement that is no more than two weeks in duration. If you require a longer period then please see our work placement opportunities and our volunteering opportunities.

Work experience for 15-17 year olds
Five full and enriching days which will take students from 15 to 17 years of age (inclusive) from a walk around the museum when it is closed to the public, where they will see the award winning exhibits, to a full week engaged with how the museum works, both as seen by the public and behind the scenes.
Due to the high demand for work experience placements at RAMM, preference will be given to students attending schools/colleges in the Exeter area and its near neighbours (EX1 to EX17).
RAMM is offering its Work Experience Programme on the following dates
16 to 20 October 2017 (Applications closed)
16 to 20 July 2018 (Applications will be accepted from 1 Oct 2017 to 30 Jan 2018)

The deadline for submission of applications will be strictly enforced. Applications received before the opening date or after the closing date will not be considered. Please download a copy of the application form from this page. Once applications are received, they will be considered by a selection panel and selected students will be invited to attend an informal interview. The interviews will take place on a day and time to be advised during a school holiday, or at 4.15pm in term time. The informal interview will provide not only an opportunity to ask questions but also establish that the experience is suitable for both sides.
