#ThanksToYou – Special tours for National Lottery players
18 November 2019
#ThanksToYou
Thanks to National Lottery players, over £30million goes to good causes each week. To thank National Lottery players and celebrate National Lottery’s 25th Birthday, RAMM has joined with heritage attractions nationwide to offer special free #ThanksToYou access for Lottery ticket holders.
RAMM has organised free tours for ticket holders: 30-minute Ancient Egypt tours at 12 noon and 2pm on Saturday 23 November and a 1-hour full museum tour at 2pm on Tuesday 26 November.
National Lottery Heritage Fund support for RAMM
The National Lottery Heritage Fund has provided extensive and wide-ranging support to RAMM. Without the fund, RAMM’s 2007 to 2011 multi-million pound, award-winning redevelop would not have been possible. Treasures like the Seaton Down Hoard and a painting of ‘John Rolle Walter’, 1753, by Pompeo Girolamo Batoni were saved for the nation. The World Cultures galleries and Sladen’s Study were conserved and redeveloped. Many exhibitions and community engagement projects like Living Here: West of the Exe were all made possible by their assistance.
The National Lottery Heritage Fund
The National Lottery’s 25th Birthday is a landmark moment to celebrate the incredible difference The National Lottery has made – and continues to make – to the lives of people and communities throughout the whole of the UK. Since The National Lottery’s first draw took place on 19 November 1994, more than £40 billion has been raised for good causes in the areas of arts, sport, heritage and community – that’s £30 million a week. The National Lottery Heritage Fund is the largest dedicated funder of heritage in the UK.
