RAMM’s photo policy
RAMM encourages visitors to share their experiences and this includes taking handheld photos in most galleries. Sharing photos is easy with RAMM’s free WiFi.
Flash photography is not allowed, as it can damage light-sensitive objects.
Restrictions in touring exhibition
Photography is not permitted in some exhibitions. This is because of copyright restrictions imposed by partners on items loaned from their collections.
Visitors wishing to take photographs using tripods or other non-handheld equipment should seek advice from reception. Like other personal photography, it is generally allowed so long as it does not interfere with the enjoyment of other visitors.
Photography for commercial or professional purposes is chargeable. The latest charges are available on page 11 of the council fees & charges.
Images for sale
A wide selection of images for use in publications and website, particularly of the fine art collection, are available from Bridgeman Art Library. Framed and unframed prints are available from Art.co.uk.
