The Lost Words
To celebrate the beautiful Lost Words exhibition at RAMM, the Shop has a selection of gifts to suit all fans of Robert Macfarlane, Jackie Morris and British wildlife. We have a wide range of Robert and Jackie’s books plus postcard packs, calendars and stunning limited edition prints from the Lost Words book itself. And you’ll find further inspiration for youngsters from nature books to cuddly otters.
In focus – Jackie Morris
Jackie Morris is a British writer and illustrator with a passion for nature, stories and the imagination. From being told that she wouldn’t make it as an artist by her first art college, she has emerged as a leading book illustrator. Jackie won the Kate Greenaway medal for her illustration of the Lost Words and was shortlisted for her book, Something About a Bear.
Jackie has illustrated for authors such as Ted Hughes and Mary Hoffman as well as writing her own books, full of colour and magic. She says her aim is to ‘stimulate children and encourage them to travel the magical world of stories and painting and to stretch their imaginations’.
Birds without Borders
If you are inspired by RAMM’s Birds without Borders exhibition or if you just love all things bird-related, then come and see what we have in store. You will find fabulous jewellery: from Tatty Devine swallows to And Mary kingfishers. And we have beautiful homewares from I Like Birds, Hannah Turner and the Owlery. Plus there are books for all from children’s stories to serious guides, and puzzles, wall art and more featuring Charley Harper’s highly stylised prints.
Located on the ground floor near the Queen Street entrance, you can be sure to find something for everyone in the Shop at RAMM. We offer a selection of perfectly hand-picked gifts alongside books, cards and children’s souvenirs.
Inspired by the collections
The ranges we stock are directly inspired by RAMM’s collections and exhibitions. Many items will not be found elsewhere in Exeter. The Artist Makers’ cabinet showcases an eclectic range of work by top local makers as well as bringing in some of the best craft from around the country.
When you make a purchase at the Shop at RAMM all profits go back into supporting the museum.
